The 2nd Japan Emergency Relief Fund Distribution Committee was held on May 11.

Two month has passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11. As of May 11, the number of missing people is 9,853 and dead people increased 14,981. The number of evacuees reported so far is 115,098.
On May 11, the 2nd Emergency Relief Fund distribution committee for the Great East Japan Earthquake was held at JACO office and 15 local organizations with a focus on social welfare, education, lobbying, etc. acting relief activities at the area stricken by great earthquake were decided as beneficiaries of the above relief fund and awarded each of the distributed amounts. The 3rd distribution procedure will be held next month.
